Arc'teryx

Project Objective:
To document Arc'teryx Japan's trail running community through photography and video, capturing group runs, product testing sessions, and community activations to support the brand's marketing campaigns.

Project Approach:
To document and bring the energy of trail running to life, I collaborate closely with the production team to study each course, plan shot lists, and prepare detailed location notes, ensuring nothing is missed in sometimes challenging conditions. In the field, I direct athletes with clear communication, framing dynamic movements from multiple angles, and capturing both clean action shots as well as experimental styles like slow motion and shutter drag, to convey the speed, strain, and atmosphere of the race. When needed, I also direct runners to capture authentic 'selfie-style' perspectives, adding personality and intimacy to the final edits. The result is a balanced visual story, energetic yet genuine.
