Padel Magazine Issue 1
Project Objective:
Research and production of a photo essay exploring padel culture in Tokyo for NYC-based publisher Padel Magazine.
Project Approach:
I conducted interviews with key figures and athletes representing Japan to gain insight into the emerging padel culture in Tokyo. Unlike in Spain, where padel is already widely established, the sport is still developing in Japan. Based on insights gathered through interviews and research, I organized and directed photoshoots that reflected the current culture and atmosphere surrounding padel in Tokyo. My images were published in the magazine’s first issue and featured on both the front and back covers, which is currently available at several bookstores across New York City.
