Red Bull Gym Clash

Project Objective:
To capture the energy and competitive spirit of the Red Bull CrossFit competition and create a dynamic highlight reel for social media, showcasing the event and its athletes.

Project Approach:
The event took place in a small venue with limited lighting, creating challenging conditions for capturing both high-energy action and authentic participant moments. As the event team managed the schedule and movement of participants, I worked within their structure to document each group as they progressed through the different exercise stations.

Because the competition followed a team-based format, my focus was not only on the exercises themselves, but on capturing the emotion, intensity, teamwork, and moments of connection between participants.

To make the final deliverables more dynamic and engaging, I focused on visually striking actions and moments that could immediately capture attention. For video, I edited to the rhythm of the music, using fast cuts and key movements to create a more energetic and memorable viewing experience.

Preparation was essential. Before the event, I studied the competition format and individual exercises so I could anticipate key actions, reactions, and emotional moments. This allowed me to position myself strategically and be ready to capture the strongest moments as they unfolded, rather than simply documenting the event as it happened.
